Dn't forget you have until Thursday 25th August to hand in your team sheets & the £90 registration fee. Then this weekend the much anticapated price lists of your Fantasy Pool league players will be revealed.
We did release a wee teaser last week but that was just to whet the appetite. The prices will obviously change depending on what clubs players have signed for plus there will be lots more players to choose from.
We have 10 competitors signed up for the fantasy pool. Paddy Tavey, Jamie Lavelle, Manny Byrne, Tristan Byrne, Jack Courtney, Micky Cunningham, Mickey O'Hanlon, Gavin Malone, Philip Murphy and James O'Hagan. We would be willing to take another few players if anyone is interested.
TJ's A will be hot favourite again to retain their Premier Division title. Word on the street has it former Corrinshego & Sheepbridge team mates Harvey Lavelle & Pat Brady are gathering up a team to challenge TJ's and try & prevent an unprecedented treble quadruple. Any new team will have their work cut out to topple a TJ's side that have lost only 1 single match in the past 2 seasons. Any fantasy pool team winner will have players from these 2 sides for sure.
We in the blog can't wait for the season to get going. Can the Brady/Lavelle or (Bravelle for short) partnership really challenge the complete dominance of TJ's A? We know they've scoured the Premier Division looking to assemble their very own Dreamteam. We've been told they've missed out on Dan's C marquee player & overall individual winner Seamus McVerry as it looks like he will be staying in the Model village.
Rumour has Whitecross have lost a few players to the Bravelle Dreamteam. If this proves to be true it's hard to see them not struggling this season.
Can McGuigan's improve on last season?
We doubt it rumour has it that kieran Hanna aka the (Messiah) who was hailed as the legend returns to McGuigans last season has been cruely axed by his so called team mates
So where will the hanna clan go this season we have been getting reports here on the blog that (Judge Kearns)
has been seen lurking about the craigmore area this week with a pen and a white sheet in tow the mind boggles.LOL
Will the Bravelle Dreamteam be playing from McGuigan's or CWC or maybe even out to Carrickcruppen?
Watch this space?
Kieran McMahon is another player which might feature in some Fantasy Pool teams. CWC would be relegation material without him. No doubt the Bravelle's lure them to their Dreamteam but we shall see soon enough if he's decided to join their 'party'.have been trying to
McGuigan's always seem to be there or there abouts. The good table and lovely pints will always attract top players but can they do enough to improve on 4th place last year?
Carrickcruppen finished the season strong last season and not only have they kept their best players, we've heard they've strengthened their squad
Division 1 play-off winners TJ's D have a very attacking young team and their style should suit the new rule changes so they will more than hold their own.
Newly promoted Bears need to bring players in. They play more tactical and will need time to adjust to this new cushion rule.
Killeavy look all set for another relegation battle unless they can lure the mercurial talents of Stephen Teggart back from TJ's A.
Hustlers had a squad to compete but for some reason didn't gel and struggled. I expect them to bring in a few players and Belinis should be more competitive this season.
Orchard Bar need to hold onto Karl McGuinness if they are be a pain in the backside of the top teams. McGuinness will be on the radar of the City clubs and Orchard would struggle without him.
Although this 2nd rule needs some clarification the rule of nominating a ball after the break has been changed.
If you pot a ball on your break off shot. You ONLY need to nominate if your changing suit.
Get those sheets in lads. 2 days to go. Then get ready to pick your Fantasy Pool team.
Room for a couple more players just give Micky Cunningham a shout.
