The fantasy pool teams have been in a while now and everyone's teams finances have been counted and verified. Some lads didn't spend their full quota of £85m and unfortunately you can't cash the change into your own bank accounts.
The teams will be published in the next couple of days and there are some brilliant teams. You lads really know your stuff.
Not surprisingly punters have heavily backed Manny Byrne TJ's A and Kieran McMahon CWC. But it was McMahon's new team mate Harvey Lavelle got the most picks with 8 out of the 13 entrants putting the former Corrinshego ace in their side. That was 1 more than Byrne and McMahon or got into 7 players' fantasy teams.
Raymie McKenna looks to have been good value at £13m as he was chosen 4 times. But big outsider that was well backed is a Hustlers player. £8m Shane McAllister made 5 of the 13 teams. Kieran Hanna, Pat Brady, Ritchie Crawford and Jack Courtney all made it into 3 teams.
It's all about value for money. The teams are extraordinarily strong and next time maybe £80m would be enough to spend.
Scoring is fairly simple but we'll have a quick refresh.
1) It's 1 point if your player wins.
2) If your player wins and his team wins he gets 1 bonus point.
3) 3 bonus points for a break finish.
4) 8 ball clearances don't count - ONLY A BREAK FINISH.
5) The maximum points a player can earn in 1 match is 5.
6) ONLY league games count.
7) If a player has no opponent for whatever reason it goes down as a win and also gets the bonus point if his team wins.
Any questions don't be afraid to ask in the comments and we'll them it up.
Just in case anyone isn't sure, the rule were a ball must hit a cushion after each shot IS NOT IN this season.
Hopefully every team has their rules in their team venue by now but we would just like to clarify that particular rule.
Newry poolleague starts this thurs night 22nd sept.
