The Working Men's Club chiseled out a narrow 5-3 win over McGuigan's B who had title aspirations themselves up until a few weeks ago. CWC are showing some amazing bottle earning vital points when the pressure is really on.
Dan's C dropped a valuable point away to the Indo Club and after a stunning run of form since Christmas this draw could signal the end of their title dreams.
But there could easily be a twist in the tail yet. CWC will have a visit form tricky neighbours form up the street in the form of TJ's C. TJ's C have a very good side & not one that CWC can take for granted.
Dan's C will need to beat Johnny Murphys in Dan's in a South Armagh Derby match-up. Dan's being at home could be crucial & only 2pts will suffice & they must hope CWC slip up in the final league game of the season.
At the bottom of Div 1 McSwiggans A have already said good bye & will ply their trade in Div 2 next season.
Either Millvale on 10pts or Trainor's Bar of Canal Street Newry on 11pts will join them.
At the turn of the year Trainors looked dead & buried but they have dug deep & now look odds on to hang on to their Div1 status.
Trainor's have an easy looking tie with a visit to McSwiggans A. Trainors thrashed them 7-1 last time they met & with McSwiggans already relegated it could be hard for the home team to get motivated.
On the other hand Millvale who need Trainors to slip up must head in to Bellinis in a very tough game for the 'Vale'. Last time they met Bellinis slaughtered Millvale 7-1 - in Millvale.
The writing is on the wall and Millvale need a bit of a minor miracle if they are to hold on to their Div 1 status.
