The big title clash between CWC A and TJ's A this Thursday coming has been set up perfectly after both teams came through unscathed. Hustlers gave CWC A good game and could easily have taken a share of the spoils.
Kieran McMahon got the league leaders CWC A off to a flying start when he beat Billy O'Neill.
Stephen Rooney has only 1 defeat since he signed and he improved his record with another win over Barry Murphy for 2-0.
Paddy Clarke was let off the hook by Kevin Magee when the league Chairman missing a straight black. Clarke took full advantage to make it 3-0 CWC.
Harvey Lavelle had more misery heaped on him when the tasty Cathal McCoy inflicted yet another defeat on him for 3-1.
Paul 'Bunty' O'Callaghan got back to winning ways when he beat Micky Cunningham for 4-1.
Pat Brady was sensational in the 1st half of the season but after Damian Kearney beat Brady he now has lost 2 of his last 3. It's good to see Dee back winning again after his long losing streak saw him dropped for a while. 4-2.
Paddy Tavey is getting some much needed wins under his belt even if he has been unconvincing. Shane McAllister needs screw-back lessons after he chipped the white over his object ball and the subsequent 2 shots was enough for Tavey to seal the CWC win at 5-2.
Cathal Phelan was up against former CWC team mate Niall McVerry. This game might have played out differently had it not been a dead rubber game but McVerry showed his old pool boss Brady what he's missing when he beat Phelan with some top drawer potting. The game finished 5-3 but CWC rode their luck to stay top of the league.
TJ's A didn't have as many problems when they demolished the only team to beat them this season. Bears are having a very good season and rolled down the hill to TJ's with plenty of reason to be optimistic.
Paul 'Skippy' Morgan is well established in this side now and he put TJ's A 1 up when he beat Paul Murphy.
Jack Courtney had a mixed 1st half to his season but has been improving well until he came up against a determined Sean McKevitt. The Bears ace has been in fine form and he levelled the scores 1-1.
Manny Byrne smashed home a brilliant break finish over Garry Powell. Powell is a dangerous opponent but when you only get to chalk your cue there isn't much you can do. Byrne has been far from unbeatable but this sparkler from the TJ's diamond put the home side 2-1 up.
Raymie McKenna and Captain Laurence McAlinden propelled TJ's to the brink of 2 points when they toppled Seamus 'The Snail' Keenan and then the talented Anthony Morgan. Keenan had been winning well lately and Morgan is quality so these 2 beaten was huge for TJ's A. 4-1.
Tristan Byrne wrapped up the maximum 2 points when he ousted Adrian 'Oz' Holman for 5-1.
Declan McMahon and Stevie Noade made it a stunning 7-1 with wins over Ralph Crummy and Eddie Heaney.
